Hank Aaron's life, achievements and inspiration

Hank Aaron is a very important figure in today’s society. He was one of the best hitters ever to play the game of baseball. The way he played the game is a great example for anyone to have him as a role model not only in baseball but in life.

Hank Aaron was born on February 5th, 1934 in Mobile, Alabama. From when he was a child of 4 years old he was playing baseball and was achieving in it. His parents were Herbert and Estella Aaron. Hank Aaron had a large family with 7 siblings. But Hank and his brother Tommie were the ones to play baseball. Hank was a very poor person and he could hardly afford equipment. So he would hit bottle caps and still become a great player. He was in a segregated high school. But he still managed to take his team to the championship in his freshman and sophomore years. He also played football but was not very successful. He played third base and outfield.

Later in his life he went to the Negro leagues because there were still many problems with racial business. He did well with them and he was only 18 years old. He took his team to the World Series in 1952 when he was with the Clowns. He helped them win and many Major League scouts were starting to look at him. He got offers from the New York Giants and the Boston Braves. He was signed for 10,000 dollars with the Boston Braves on June 14, 1952. He went on to the minor leagues. He played for the Eau Claire Bears in the minor leagues. He played infield in the minor leagues. Hank faced many problems off the field because many white racial people treated him bad when he was promoted to class A to the Jacksonville Tigers. He was treated badly but one day he met this lady Barbara Lewis and they fell in love. On October 6th, 1953 he married her. Later on in the winter he went to Puerto Rico and there he became a star training. He was converted to be in the outfield.

On March 13th, 1954 he was called up to the majors and he played spring training in left field. He made his Major League debut on April 13, 1954 and he did really badly. But on April 15th he got his 1st career hit with his team the Braves. On April 23 he hit his 1st homerun which still had many to come. Hank Aaron went on and on and hitting homeruns. In 1955 he made his 1st all star team. Also in 1957 he won his only MVP award. Later on he made the 500 homerun club and was the 8th person to make it to that point. He kept on going on a rampage and kept passing people and he was the black person that hit the most homeruns. On April 27th 1971 he hit his 600th homerun. He also at a point was the leader of base stealing having 6,134. In 1973 August 6th he made history. He hit the 715th homerun and everyone was wild. But horribly after he hit that there were some people that were not happy and he received death threats because people did not like seeing a black man beating a white man Babe Ruth. So he had courage and he still continued playing and he hit his final 755th homerun. He received death threats because some people did not like the fact that he broke, a black man, broke a record of a white man Babe Ruth. He also passed Babe Ruth on the runs batted in list and held the record for a while. He was inducted to the Hall Of Fame on August 1st, 1982 after a long career from 1954 through 1976.

Hank Aaron is a real big inspiration. He is an inspiration because he hit the most homeruns ever until Barry Bonds Broke it. Also because he held many more records such as in runs batted in and stealing bases. His determination throughout his career also inspires people because he was given death threats and also he was treated badly for the color of his skin. But he never gave up and today he is in the Hall Of Fame and he is considered one of the best players ever.

So Hank Aaron is a role model and he will continue to be one for years to come. Right now is considered one of the best black players every also one of the best player peroid.
